So another year has come & gone. I didn't make the it to all of the goals I wanted, but I'm less than I was at the beginning of 2008, so I'll take what I can get.
A loss is a loss. No gain is always a good thing.
So as per usual my goal for the year is to get healthier. I really want to do a 5k this year. I'm looking into yoga classes. Still want to lose weight. I would love to be in the 130's by this time next year but as long as I'm more active & healthier I'll take it.
I'm ending 2008 @ 155lbs. Down 72lbs since Oct. 2004. I'll take it.

The end of the year

A step towards new boobs.
My plan has been to reward myself with new breasts when I hit my goal weight. The problem with that is paying for them. I think in the back of my mind that is the reason why I haven't been working as hard as I could to lose weight.
With that in mind I signed up with MyFreeImplants.com ( http://MyFreeImplants.com/models/102197/ ) to help pay for my new boobs. :) I hope to meet my weight loss goal around the same time I "earn" enough money to get my breast augmentation. Even if I'm not at my goal weight I've lost a lot of weight and I need to be rewarded. New boobs are my reward.

Hmm
2 different people asked me today if I was losing weight. I'm baffled. I admit I'm less than I was last month but not at the lowest I've been in the last month. ??? Evidently I "look" thinner & my clothes are fitting differently. I have no idea but I'll take it.

Trying something new
So I'm trying a mega dose of fish oil to see if that can get my weight loss jump started again. I figure it can't hurt. Of course having the pumpkin pie in the house didn't help me this weekend. :( Oh well, it's all gone now & so is the temptation.

LOL Actually I'm doing really good resisting the urge to overeat or snack when I'm not hungry just bored.
Now I just have to get my ass working out. If nothing else I need to start doing curls so I can tighten up my arms. The doc said I need to work on my quads to help eliminate/reduce my knee pain. Biking would be good I just have to do it. LOL

Just don't know
I'm not sure what I'm doing right, but something seems to have started working. The next week will be make or break time for me. My major hurdle has been 160. I've gotten as low as 158 but that's where I hit a wall.
So fingers crossed that this time is it. I just want to hit 156 within the next 2 weeks. I know that my goal is 154.4 (6.7lbs) by Halloween (22 days) but seriously as long as I'm on the right track & losing I'm not going to stress too much about when I hit the milestones. Just as long as I hit them.
I went to the Dr. today for a follow up on my MRI. Basically there's nothing that they could see that is causing the pain. But I do have pain. I now have a standing script for pain pills which I plan to use sparingly. Doc says to work on my quadricep strength to help stabilizing my knee and hopefully lessen my pain.
Now I have to get off my duff and get back to exercising. My plan right now is to just do the bike and to work on my arm strength I'm tired of having 'Bingo wings'. LOL

It's not as bad as I thought. I weighed in this morning & I am down some. But not enough to put me on track to where I want to be. Something needs to change. I'm just not sure what.

So I suck
still. LOL
I'm trying to be upbeat about this but it's really starting to drag me down. I'm throughly stuck. I can not get out of the 160's.
I don't know what to do. Right now I'm at the point of trying not to fall back into the habits that kept me thin in High school but were extremely unhealthy.
I've decided that on my birthday (the 9th) I'll be going back to low/no carb if I don't see a movement on the scale. Which of course means until that point I'm going to go carb crazy.
I'm about ready to go to the doc and see if they can help. I doubt that they'll be of any use. Just tell me to do what I've already done & failed at.

What is it about
being at school that makes me hungry? If I'm at home I have my Monster/RockStar in the morning and then am not hungry until after 2pm. If I'm at school I'm starving by 10am. It's insane.

Today was another day. Didn't do great. Didn't do awful. Drank less soda today than yesterday. Drank water (which I hate).
Did ok with the food. Really want to comfort eat right now because I'm hurting, but I'm resisting.

I'm doing good (in my terms) with my eating today. I'm not sure if I'll get to the gym.
I'm kind of putting off the gym until I have my MRI on 10/03 & the follow-up 0n 10/06. I can probably handle doing the bike but I don't want to cause myself so much pain that I can't function.
I wish I had asked the doc for some stronger pain meds when I saw him last. :(

Long time no blog
I guess I kind of took a hiatus from this because I was disappointed in my results, or lack there of.
Shortly after I last posted I ended up stopping my workouts because of some medical issues. I haven't been able to pick back up the work outs.
I reverting back to what helped me when I first started on my weight loss journey 4 long years ago. It's a book called Think Yourself Thin. It began my weight loss before so I'm trying it again. :)
So my weight as of this evening is 164.4lbs.
My immediate goal is to lose 10lbs (154.4) by Halloween, once I've accomplished that goal I will begin on my next one of losing another 10lbs (144.4) by My Anniversary (Dec. 5th). My third goal is another 10lbs (134.4) by Valentines Day 2009. That will put me at the high end of my goal weight. Ultimately I'd like to end at around 125-130lbs.
Wish me luck.

I've made my mind up. I have to work out at least 6 days a week. My workouts suck when I do them 3 days a week. I'm sucking wind because my body doesn't want to maintain my level of fitness.
I've also decided to try to up my work outs to at least an hour at least 4 times a week. Which means I have to get my ass motivated & down to the gym earlier.
I still want to improve my time on my runs but I'm going to have a dual focus, upping my speed & upping my workouts.

I fucking hate people with bad hygiene. At least shower every other day people! I didn't get to work out tonight because "Smelly man" was at the gym again. I could smell him as stepped in the door, from 20 fucking feet away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How can someone function smelling that bad?

I redid day 1 again because I felt that trying to do day 2 would be too much for me this week. I used my inhaler before running & it seemed to help. I was able to run the whole time I was scheduled to. I was also able to increase my distance again.

My knee
God my knee hates me. It's popping, cracking & generally being bitchy. You'd think that I'd tore it up 20+ years ago. Oh wait I did.
I guess I should go to the doc & get it checked. But I know I need surgery. And I don't want to have surgery until I've lost the rest of my weight. It's a bit of a catch 22. *sigh*
I have to lose weight to stop the pain in my knee. Exercising to lose weight is causing pain in my knee. I guess I'll be dealing with the pain for a while longer.

Introducing me
Hello all. This is going to be about my journey back to myself.
I'm a 34 year old mom to 4.
Somewhere along the line of 6 pregnancies and staying at home with the kid-lets, I lost myself & my body.
At my heaviest I weighed 223lbs, which on my smallish 5'6" frame was just too much. a little over 3 years ago I started working on losing some weight. I've lost 60lbs but I feel that I have another 30-35 to lose.
At this time I'm doing the Couch to 5k training program. I'm using Robert Ullrey's Assisted Workout and Training Mixes: http://www.ullreys.com/robert/Podcasts/page4/files/category-7.html . I am planning to run in the "Susan G Komen Race for the Cure" in Nov.
As for diet, my number one thing has been to cut sodas out of my diet. I'm trying to incorporate more fruits into my diet by have a protein shake for breakfast most days.
My weightloss ticker:
I'll be using this blog to update my progress towards running a 5k.
Once I've officially registered for the 5k I'll post the link here.
