I've been pretty crappy at logging what I'm eating. I know that I'm staying within my calorie range (under 1400) for the most part.

I'm still working out most nights. I need to up my time in the gym. I'm planning on joining a gym within the next couple of weeks. The local gym has several classes that I want to take.

I redid day 1 again because I felt that trying to do day 2 would be too much for me this week. I used my inhaler before running & it seemed to help. I was able to run the whole time I was scheduled to. I was also able to increase my distance again.

I tried to do C25K ~ Week 5 ~ Day 3. I wasn't able to make it past 5 min. running. I walked 20 minutes ~ 1.54 miles.

I suck especially after missing my workout yesterday. The hub & I have discussed it & we will be joining a gym so that I can take yoga & possibly belly dance classes. Yay! It's only $20 a month with no enrollment fees or contracts. :)

6 min. on the crunch machine started at 120lbs & worked up to 160lbs. Pull down machine up to 50lbs for about 5 minutes. Really hate the curl machine. LOL

My knee

God my knee hates me. It's popping, cracking & generally being bitchy. You'd think that I'd tore it up 20+ years ago. Oh wait I did.

I guess I should go to the doc & get it checked. But I know I need surgery. And I don't want to have surgery until I've lost the rest of my weight. It's a bit of a catch 22. *sigh*

I have to lose weight to stop the pain in my knee. Exercising to lose weight is causing pain in my knee. I guess I'll be dealing with the pain for a while longer.

I need to schedule things better. I screwed up my schedule for my C25K program. I usually run M/W/F, but I ran yesterday & it's advised not to do workouts on consecutive days. I have a hard time fitting a workout into my Tuesday schedule.

Introducing me

Hello all. This is going to be about my journey back to myself.

I'm a 34 year old mom to 4.

Somewhere along the line of 6 pregnancies and staying at home with the kid-lets, I lost myself & my body.

At my heaviest I weighed 223lbs, which on my smallish 5'6" frame was just too much. a little over 3 years ago I started working on losing some weight. I've lost 60lbs but I feel that I have another 30-35 to lose.


At this time I'm doing the Couch to 5k training program. I'm using Robert Ullrey's Assisted Workout and Training Mixes: http://www.ullreys.com/robert/Podcasts/page4/files/category-7.html . I am planning to run in the "Susan G Komen Race for the Cure" in Nov.

As for diet, my number one thing has been to cut sodas out of my diet. I'm trying to incorporate more fruits into my diet by have a protein shake for breakfast most days.
